After going back to the drawing board, Bathurst Regional Council have decided upon renowned Australian sculptor Julie Squires to bring the Peter Brock statue to life.
The Melbourne based artist was chosen from a shortlist of five of the nation's leading public art sculptors who tendered for the project, which has been commissioned to commemorate the life and times of the nine times Bathurst 1000 winner.
