The longest endurance race in Australia, held at the country's most demanding circuit, the Bathurst 12 Hour will certainly seperate the men from the boys. The races origins began in 1991 and ran for 5 years before being lost to the pages of history. The revival of this trecherous endurance came in 2002 in the more demanding form of the Bathurst 24 Hour. Lasting only 2 years, the 24 Hour paved the way for a revised endurance and a revival of a classic Bathurst race.

Kicking off again in 2007, the Bathurst 12 Hour is a permanent fixture on the Mount Panorama Calendar. Attracting drivers from across the country and some international acts, the 12 Hour endurance has only grown in popularity. The race has seen the likes of V8 Supercar drivers change codes for a week, and also attracts hollywood superstars such as Eric Banner.

The forth annual Bathurst 12 Hour Race was held at Mount Panorama, Bathurst over the period 12 to 14 February 2010, supported by a round of the Shannon's Nationals. On track over the three days, the rain-affected weekend witnessed 17 hours of racing by way of the 12 Hour Race supported by Formula Vee's, Improved Production, HQ Holden's, Porsche GT3 Challenge and Saloon Cars. In total, over 300 race vehicles participated in the Event including 43 entrants in the 12 Hour Enduro. The Outright Winners of the Race were Garry Holt, John Bowe and Paul Morris in their Eastern Creek International Karts BMW 335i.

The 2009 Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour will always be remembered as 'The year the tree came down'. After days of torrential rain following years of drought, this tree at the top of Conrod Straight just couldn't handle the soft soil.

Running in the shadow of the Sueprcheap Auto Bathurst 1000, Bathurst Regional Council has decided to recognise the achievements of the Armor All Bathurst 12 Hour winners with their own Victors Walk. The original Victors Walk is located on the footpath outside the Bathurst Regional Council Civic Centre, and bears the plaques of past winners of the Bathurst 1000 back to 1963. To take a leave from that book, the new Endurance Walk will feature similar plaques with the teams and drivers who have won the 12 Hour. The new plaques will begin from 2007 when the event was picked up after a lenghty absence.
